Sylas is a superstar! He recently assisted my father with bill payment at the Pine St location & went above and beyond the standard customer service experience. Thanks to him, my out of state father will now have wifi in his home for the first time EVER! Looking forward to upcoming video chats and memories to be made thanks to his awesome experience ✨

I’m an indie artist for 5 years out here building my career and name with no family. When I didn’t have my phone and no communication to talk to anyone my family or the world, I ran to spectrum on pine Ave because that’s where I live and I don’t drive due to medical reasons. I asked the main boss guy there to help me call apple to ask about insurance or to use a phone and he told me all the phones were down, he called apple once for me and said they weren’t answering and told me sorry he couldn’t help me… I wanted to share that because it was very disappointing that even customer service here, my carrier I been loyal too paying for years out here, wouldn’t help their customer when stranded in a state without their service to call for help.. I spent all day walking around ended up having to buy a phone off the streets one of the government ones to have as a backup walkie talkie cuz it only does speaker. Then my SIM cards weren’t working once I got my phone back waiting 6 full days without a phone being a nomad out here. And when I came back to spectrum, the same boss guy seen me and I told him now my phone isn’t texting or calling anyone and he told me he would help me to give him one second, it was 1:40pm and then I had ended up standing up waiting there with no help until 2:20pm. From someone else. He never even ended up helping me he was just on his phone texting looking at me. This is customer service. People are going to be mad if they have no phone or service they pay for isn’t working.. you still need to do your job and help them. I never even was mad at him or pointed my anger out on him so his bad attitude needs to stop or he doesn’t need to do customer service. So what if people get mad, it’s your job to change their attitudes and help them out and to just Do Your Job. But, in fact I was jut disappointed in the lack of effort and respect I got. I’m also born half blind so it was just a turmoil of events over here with nothing and a little compassion and help can go along way for humans in this world. Let’s try to help humanity and not make it worse for them if you’re working in customer service. I get yelled at in customer service but I change their perception on situations to understand better. And it’s not only cuz their mad and it’s only cuz their confused and want to understand better but it’s because it’s MY JOB. To help. Anyways everyone else there were helpful and friendly. Main boss guy just didn’t help me.

Literally just needed to pick up my equipment from an order I already placed the day before. The employee, Sylas, was very rude and seemed annoyed the entire 3 or 4 minutes I was there. I came in about 8 minutes before closing which I admit isn’t ideal, but I was very apologetic and he barely acknowledged me. He was not friendly whatsoever and didn’t respond to anything I said to him which is extremely bizarre behavior; not to mention horrible customer service. I asked if he had a long day and he just nodded and looked at me with a blank stare. My transaction was insanely easy and quick, but he barely spoke a word to me, never smiled at all, and just put the equipment in a bag silently and told me to have a good one under his breath. Very strange and unprofessional way to act towards a customer, especially considering how simple my transaction was. It made me feel weird and uncomfortable and I don’t think I deserved that kind of treatment. Hopefully Sylas will be trained to have better customer service skills and also encouraged to have a better attitude.
